The second visits two effective long-term programs to show you the elements in action.

Join us for up-close and dynamic visits to the Charles Drew Resource Center and the Alliance for Families with Deaf Children. Both of these programs have been successful for 12 or more years and demonstrate that having a conceptual framework, ongoing needs assessments, specific curricular design for the population, good recruitment and retention strategies, collaboration with other agencies, effective professional development for paid and volunteer personnel, as well as ongoing summative and formative evaluations, are tried and true, research-based good practices.
