Signing Stories @ Your Library is a program series for families of deaf and hard of hearing children and for those who work with deaf children.  These programs are for adults and children up to age 12 and are free of charge. 

All programs are on Saturday mornings and include a storytelling experience in American Sign Language followed by supervised literacy activities for children and a workshop, for adults, on the educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing children and how libraries can support those needs.

Sign Language interpreting is provided for workshops and the literacy activities for children are presented in ASL and in spoken English.  If a parent of a deaf or hard of hearing child requires Spanish or Creole translation, please give us prior notice and we will make every attempt to accommodate the family.
