Volunteers are an integral part of the AFDC organization.  There
are a variety of ways interested candidates can choose to volunteer
with our organization.  Our largest events include the yearly ASL
Literacy Festival as well as our monthly Signing Stories @ Your
Library Program.  Through these programs, volunteers will
have the opportunity to meet and talk with Deaf adults, as well as
work with Deaf children in a variety of learning activities.
Additional help is needed for administrative tasks as well as public
relations and marketing.  A basic knowledge of American Sign
Language (ASL) is preferred but not required.
